Fr Nevsky is the Chaplain of the Church of the Resurrection and the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Apokrisarios to the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchate. He was previously the Chaplain of Keble College, Oxford, during which time he completed his doctorate at SOAS, University of London. His PhD explored the contemporary theological currents underlying a homily of Isaac of Nineveh on the Cross. He has been involved with a range of ecumenical bodies since his ordination, particularly in connection with the Church of England’s relationships with the Oriental Orthodox and Eastern Orthodox churches. Since coming to Romania, Fr Nevsky has developed a love for all things Romanian. In his spare time is translating the short stories and sketches of Transylvanian life by the Greek-Catholic priest and writer, Ion Agârbiceanu.
